1. WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

At least five per cent of people go through a phase in their life that involves a lot of worrying and anxiety.

What can anxiety feel like?

•    Vague feelings of nervousness
•    Worries and fears about the future in many different areas of your life
•    Breathing difficulties
•    Difficulties concentrating and restlessness
•    Sleep problems
•    Heart palpitations, trembling, sweating or dizziness
•    Chest pain, stomach pain or muscle tension

In the video (1:40) you hear people who have experienced anxiety tell what has helped them to approach uncomfortable feelings such as anxiety more gently.

Remember

The feeling of anxiety is a natural and normal part of life for most people.

However, approximately 5 per cent of people suffer from generalised anxiety disorder at some time during their life.
