Self-help program

How are difficulties with concentration treated?

You work on your concentration difficulties by adjusting your own thoughts, behavior patterns, and environment. If the issue is ADHD, professional help may also be needed in addition to these measures.

Self-help program for independent work

Sometimes harmful thought patterns or behaving can reduce well-being. If this is the case, it’s important to become aware of and recognize them. This makes it possible to change them.

Working with your own thought patterns and behaviors is central to this Self-Help Program.

You can use this Self-Help Program:

  • independently
  • while waiting for other treatment
  • alongside other treatment
  • after other treatment has ended

Treatment of ADHD

Both non-medication and medication-based treatments are used in the treatment of ADHD. These can be provided separately or at the same time.

Non-medication, or psychosocial treatments, are based on interaction. Psychosocial treatment methods include neuropsychiatric coaching, psychotherapy, and other forms of talk therapy. Internet therapy is based on more independent work. Different treatment options are available in different regions.

Remember

Self-help instructions are important regardless of the causes of concentration difficulties.
